Summary:

Harry feels sick, but there’s no time. Death Eaters have stormed the castle. Dumbledore does not get the death he had planned for.

 

The ghost doesn’t know who Harry is and doesn’t trust him, the first time anyone from the magical world looked at Harry without a hint of recognition. Just sees him as his parents’ child, not knowing that they died. Harry doesn’t trust him, either, remembering what Sirius said. He struggles to leave Dumbledore on the tower, alone and weakened, but the ghost runs after the Death Eaters and Harry isn’t convinced he won’t join them so he gives chase.

Regulus is saved by Harry from the Inferi Lake and they fall in love over the course of the rest of the war.
